Congragulations to Sutton B on earning their best result of the season with a 9-1 win against GRFC B. Sutton have been gradually improving all season and maximums from Patrick Leung and George Joannou together with 2 from Mick Wilson saw them home. It would have been even worse if John Dodd hadn't beaten Wilson 11-9 in the 5th. One suspects it will be too little too late to avoid relegation but Sutton are keen to remain in the division so who knows.
Meopham A continued their good form with a 10-0 win agianst Dartfordians B. However it was far from plain sailing with Mark Heaton taken to 5 in all of his matches against Mick Sheppard, Mick Chaffe and Sam Vinten. Brian Lees and Ming Majoe also gained 3 each to ensure their lead at the top was maintained.
Dartfordians A fell further behind the leaders when they could only beat 2 'man' Sutton A 7-3. Adrian Foster beat both Peter Rushbrook and Wayne Holder and together with Carol Homewood won the doubles. Peter Davis won his matches comfortably. This is another season when Sutton would have been challenging at the top of the table if they could have fielded a full strength team every week and as such are dangeous opponents as you never know who will be playing for them!
GRFC A secured a confident 8-2 win against Meopham B which together with a number of player absences over the next few weeks will probably end Meopham B's hopes of a top 3 finish. Emma Tovey beat Steve Mansfield and Peter Worthington defeated Martin Winter for Meophams' points.
