Some close matches this week with Meopham A consolidating their position at the top of the table with a 6-4 win over GRFC A. Justin Dodd played to his usual high standard all night and was never threatened by Dave McAulay, John Davison and Brian Lees who all won 2.
Sutton A had a good 6-4 win over Meopham B with the final result resting on the doubles. Derek Pettit was the star player of the night winning all 3 and supported by Emma Tover with 1 which was almost 2 but Adrian Foster got the better of her 11-9 in the fifth. Best match of the night was Pettit beating David Brent in 5 in which there were three games that went to deuce. Brent and Foster won 2 each and Carol Homewood 1.
Dartfordians B beat Sutton B 8-2 with Sam Vinten and Ted Tydeman both winning 3 and Mich Chaffe 2. Patrick Leung picked up Sutton's only singles of the night. Tydeman is playing better than ever at the moment and if he played more they would certainly be higher up the league.
Unfortunately GRFC B's home match with Dartfordians A was cancelled due to a power cut at their premises.
