This week saw the final meeting between leaders Meopham A and Dartfordians A. The match was very close finally ending in a 5-5 draw ending Meopham's 100% record. Peter Davis was the star player winning all of his 3 although he had to save a match point against John Davison who is having a great season for Meopham. The nearer John gets to 70 it seems the better he plays! Ian Martin beat Brian Lees and Ming Majoe for two good wins. Davison with 2, Lees and Majoe 1 made sure it was down to the doubles that Lees and Davison secured for the draw. With this result it is difficult to see Meopham being caught as they are 30 points clear and although Dartfordians have a match in hand they are now running put of matches.
GRFC A kept up their hopes of second place with a fine 10-0 win against Sutton B, Justin Dodd, Steve Mansfield and Martin Winter all securing wins without too many problems.
Meopham B got back to winning ways with a 6-4 win over Dartfordians B. This was a strange match with Meopham having to call upon Pam Butcher and Dick Ellis from the First Division and Dartfordians only had 2 players! The quickly improving Sam Vinten had a great night winning all 3 and Jill Shipton won 1 to push Meopham all the way.
Sutton A had to call upon George Joannou from their B side in their 8-2 win against GRFC B and he ensured victory wkth all 3 points whilst regulars Carol Homewood and Adrian Foster could only manage 2 each.
