As the season begins to draw to a close, already clear winners Meopham F had a strong 9-0 victory over Meopham G. Arie Van Der Leer, Alan Lander and Zhong Jiao Tan all winning their three against Peter Stacey, Ling Ling Guo and Lynne Tovey. Tan had the toughest wins as Peter played very well to take her to deuce in the fifth and the mother-daughter fight against Ling Ling was won in four games.
The doubles match this week saw Culverstone B take a strong 6-0 win over Meopham H. Meopham H played well with Joe Baker and Chris O'Brien taking Jane Hyde and Steve Randall to five games.
These two match scorelines mean that Culverstone B are only a step away from the finish in the race for the runner-up spot as they only need to secure one more point over two doubles matches.
